I attended Jamestown College and graduated in 1985. From the moment I first stepped on campus for a 'visit', I knew it was the place for me. Joanne gave me my tour in the spring of '80 or 81..she and Tim had gotten engaged over spring break and everyone was congratulating her. She knew everyone, she introduced me to other nursing majors- and it was that visit and tour that set the tone and sealed the deal. I felt like I had come home.
Through the course of my years, those feelings never left me. The one on one interaction with my professors was always there. The people at Jamestown truly took an interest in our lives and took the time to get to know us and try to help in our studies and in our personal life. I still am in contact with a few instructors almost 25 yrs later and over 1000 miles away. The caring and support was always present.
While at Jamestown, financial assistant through nursing scholarships was made available to me; now I feel it is my turn to return that or 'pay it forward'... to help someone else.
I have fond memories of Jamestown, and I want others to have that chance to create memories of their own.
