A book written by Richard Buchwitz '56 (professionally
known as Richard Kendall) of Hollywood, Calif., is bringing in rave
reviews from around the world. In "An Extraordinary Life," he shares memories of his many personal encounters with legends from
Indira Gandhi to Judy Garland, from John F. Kennedy to the Beatles.
Tom Jessor, Los Angeles, calls the work a "high-flying and highly entertaining tour-de-force." He continues, "(Richard) has a special place in his heart for those individuals among us who can simultaneously create beauty and inspire us, but can also exhibit humility and warmth and generosity of spirit utterly devoid of artifice or phoniness."
Dennis Sisneros, Denver, says "Because of (Richard's) technique in storytelling, I was able to visualize his adventures and encounters with extraordinary people. (His) gift at storytelling shouldn't end with this book."
In addition to piano instruction and vocal coaching in Hollywood and Beverly Hills, Richard is a minister of music at a large church in Los Angeles.
